AHR Walpole Energy Storage Facility aims to support the UK in its drive to decarbonise the grid by 2035 and reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Typical components of an energy storage facility include:

  • Battery Storage Units (BSUs);
  • Power Conversion Systems (PCS);
  • Acoustic and Security Fencing;
  • CCTV cameras with associated lighting columns;
  • DNO Control building;
  • Customer control building and Switchroom;
  • Spare Parts Container;
  • Water storage tanks;
  • Drainage retention basin and lagoon;
  • Parking;
  • Access tracks;
  • Landscaping.
