The proposed development will cover an area of approximately 4.0 hectares. Qair undertakes a thorough and considered site selection process; as a result, this site has been selected for the following reasons:
- There is a particular need for energy storage in this region, and this location facilitates an on-site grid connection.
- The site is well screened by existing woodland, which would be further enhanced to provide significant biodiversity net gain.
- The proposed facility would be sited far enough away from residential properties to negate any noise impact.
- The location is well connected to the Strategic Road Network and local A roads.
